Originally, I assumed all Cosplay was about anime from Japan or dorky guys doing bad impressions of Batman at comic book conventions. I wondered why people felt compelled to do such things. Never did I imagine a Halloween costume could fascinate me even after the holiday was over. My transformation into a cosplayer smitten with a TV show, The Venture Bros, was about to begin.
The music is good and keeps the pace with the game sequences. There are number of options for the players, they can challenge the computer or the friend (the friend needs to have the copy of the game as well). The default mode is easy and will not create any difficulty to a regular player but the high levels can be challenging.
I’m annoyed that Toby is no longer in the opening credits of Degrassi: The Next Generation. Really annoyed. And no, I don’t count the group photo near the end of the opening.
But the theme song doesn’t have to be catchy to get you pumped up. I couldn’t hum the theme of Batman: The Animated Series, but it truly set up the mood of this being a darker, more epic experience than anything else we could watch. It set the tone right off the bat, allowing us entry into Gotham’s ominous world.
But we had a great time watching all the people dressed in costume with their kids and the adults were having as much fun as their children. There were some adults who didn’t have any kids with them who were in costume. The shops all were in festive mode with their employees dressed for the occasion who gave out treats for the kids. BJ’s the restaurant even gave out small scoops of ice cream and free pazooki dessert gift cards.
Dressing up in costumes isn’t just for Halloween anymore with the growth that the anime industry has had over the last few years. And with cosplay growing at a rapid rate, many businesses are trying to cash in. Because of that cosplay is no longer restricted to an anime to watch convention scene. Local businesses are now opening their doors to cosplayers on a regular basis as a way to promote sales. F.Y.E stores across the United States have been allowing anime fans to arrive in costume on a bi-monthly basis to take advantage of sales and promotions. The entertainment chain has stores in several North Carolina malls including Concord Mills and Hanes Mall in Winston-Salem.
The kit appears to be molded in 2 different shades of yellow. Although it features hundreds of small detail parts, it looks as though many of the armor plates will be molded as single panels. Let’s hope that Bandai can keep up the quality molding that has come to be expected from the Master Grade series. In a kit this sized a few mild color swirls in the plastic could be a tragedy.
After downloading the manga, you can now read it in your computer, print it before reading, or copy the images to a mobile device and read it anytime anywhere. Just make sure that the mobile device allows image zooming so that you can read the manga without a problem.
